Building in the open

[ ] Building in the open

Building in public means one simple thing: telling the choices as we make them, even when they aren’t perfect yet.

The first choice is respect for those who read us. Our site’s statistics use no cookies and profile no one: we want to know how many people pass through, not who they are. The second is portability: the content of those who work with us stays theirs, exportable at any moment. No cages.

The third is restraint. We use managed, reliable tools so as not to scatter our energy on maintenance, and we keep technology (even the most advanced) behind the scenes. What must stay in front is what counts: the archive, the assistant, the care.

In the coming months we’ll tell every stage here. Let’s begin.
